Feature Rules

1. What Does "Featured" Mean?

Featured tools appear in the dedicated Featured section on the homepage and in the Featured listing, giving them prominent placement and increased visibility to our visitors. Featuring a tool is an optional, paid placement — it does not affect how the tool is reviewed, listed, or ranked in organic results.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for a featured placement, a tool must:

• Be an active, approved listing on Trust My Tool that complies with our Terms & Conditions.
• Belong to the account submitting the feature request, or the submitter must have the owner's authorization.
• Not contain prohibited content, including spam, scams, illegal material, or content that infringes on the rights of others.

We reserve the right to refuse a featured placement for any reason, at our sole discretion.

3. Placement & Duration

Featured placements are purchased for a defined period. The start and end dates of each placement are clearly communicated at the time of purchase and displayed in your dashboard. When a placement expires, the tool automatically returns to its normal (non-featured) listing.

4. Fees & Payment

Featuring a tool may involve a fee, which is displayed before you confirm your purchase. All fees are non-refundable once the placement has started, unless required by applicable law. We may change our pricing from time to time; changes will not affect placements already purchased.

5. Bidding & Ranking Strategy

Featured placement uses a simple, transparent per-day bid model. When you feature your tool, you set the amount you are willing to pay per day, and the Featured section is ranked by that bid — the highest per-day bid appears first, the second-highest appears second, and so on. There is no manual queue; your position is determined entirely by your bid.

• Minimum bid: Every bid must meet the minimum per-day bid shown in the feature window (currently $1.00/day). Bids below the minimum are rejected.
• Available durations: You may purchase a featured window for one of the offered durations (7, 15, 30 or 90 days). Your total cost is your per-day bid × the number of days.
• Bid increments: To outrank another featured tool, your bid must exceed its bid. The suggested outbid amount for any position is that position's current bid plus the bid increment (currently $0.50).
• Position previews: Before you pay, the feature window shows the current leaderboard and a suggested per-day bid to reach each of the top three positions, so you know exactly what it will take to claim a spot.

Being outbid

Because featured placement is competitive, another owner can place a higher bid at any time and move ahead of you. When that happens, you will receive a notification with the suggested bid to reclaim your position. There is no need to buy a whole new window — instead, you can raise your bid on your existing featured window, and you only pay the difference between your new bid and your current bid, multiplied by the number of days remaining in your active window. This means getting outbid never costs you twice for the same spot.

Fair play

Bids must reflect genuine intent to feature your tool. We may reject or cancel any bid we believe is made in bad faith, intended to disrupt another listing, or in violation of these rules. Rankings and leaderboard data are generated automatically from active, paid featured windows and are not manually adjusted.

6. Content Guidelines

Featured tools are held to the same content standards as all listings. You must keep your listing's name, description, pricing, and links accurate and up to date. Misleading information, prohibited content, or attempts to game the system may result in removal of the featured placement without refund.

7. No Endorsement

A featured placement is a promotional arrangement and does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of the tool by Trust My Tool. We do not verify the claims made by tool providers, and visitors rely on featured listings at their own risk.

8. Removal

We may remove a featured placement at any time if the listing violates our Terms, these Feature Rules, or applicable law, or if the underlying tool is suspended or removed. In such cases, we are not obligated to provide a refund for the unused portion of the placement.

9. Changes to These Rules

We may update these Feature Rules from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated rules.
