Browsing, reviewing and saving tools on Trust My Tool is free. You only ever pay for tool listings, guest posts, ownership transfers, featured placement and position locks — each one is a single one-off payment, with no subscription and nothing renewing automatically.

  • Writing and saving a submission costs nothing — the fee is charged once, when your tool is published.
  • One payment covers one published tool. Editing the listing afterwards, reviews and favourites are always free.
  • There is no account fee and no limit on how many tools you submit.

Ownership transfer

Take over your tool owned by our staff

  • Search active tools owned by our staff and take ownership.
  • Only published tools can be transferred; drafts and member-owned tools are excluded.
  • A moderator reviews the request before ownership moves. A declined paid transfer is refunded automatically.
  • You keep the tool's listing, reviews and history — only the owner changes.

Featured placement

Pay per day — ranked by your bid

$5.00 / day minimum
  • A window of 7, 15, 30 or 90 days — you pick the length at checkout.
  • Total price = your per-day bid × the number of days. Nothing else is added.
  • Higher bids rank higher: the highest per-day bid is shown first, then the next, and so on.
  • Outbid later? Raise your bid and pay only the difference for the days that are left — never twice for the same spot. The feature window suggests a target of $2.00 above the leading bid.
  • No subscription and no auto-renewal — when the window ends, your listing simply returns to normal.

Position lock

Pay per hour — the rank stays yours

$1.00 / hour, from
  • Pins your tool to one exact rank — no bid can take that slot from you while the lock runs.
  • Choose from 1, 6, 12, 24 or 72 hours. Total price = the position's hourly rate × hours.
  • Each rank has its own rate; the higher the rank, the higher the hourly price.
  • Add hours later at the current rate — extra hours start after your lock ends, so nothing is charged twice.
  • If the position is taken before your payment is confirmed, the payment is refunded automatically.

Every lockable rank is priced by the hour. The total you pay is the rate below × the number of hours you choose (1, 6, 12, 24 or 72).

Rates are set by Trust My Tool and can change; a change never affects a lock you have already paid for. Locks already sold keep their slot until they expire.

Good to know

  • Free unless stated above. Editing a listing, writing reviews, saving favourites and browsing cost nothing — every paid option on this page is optional.
  • One-off payments. Each purchase covers one placement for the period shown at checkout. We hold no card details and there is no subscription to cancel.
  • Prices and currency. All prices are shown in USD. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing country.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe, which securely process the charge and appear on your statement.
  • Refunds. Placements that were not delivered, or that were paid for a position someone else had just locked, are refunded. Read the full Refund Policy.
